Grand Terrace Promotes Illegal Activity:

Dear Gramps:

When the City of Grand Terrace allows Fireworks to be sold in Grand Terrace it allows those items to be purchased by people who will knowingly use the fireworks in areas where they are not allowed, hence illegal. The city and sports teams are contributing to this illegal behavior. Perhaps at the level as being accomplices or co-conspirators in the illegal distribution and use of fireworks. Grand Terrace Fireworks Stands do not require proof of residency for the purchase of Fireworks. It does not force the use of the Fireworks bought in Grand Terrace be lit in Grand Terrace. No the City of Grand Terrace and the Sports Teams knowingly and expect and conspire to sell to customers who will be exporting the fireworks to places they are not legal.

This may not be held as a crime however in civil court it may well obligate the City and Sports Teams should there be a victim of the fireworks sold in Grand Terrace causing a problem Out of Grand Terrace.

Just some thought for the City Council for Next Year.

Fireworks labeled "safe and sane" can be bought and used in Adelanto, Chino, Colton, Fontana, Grand Terrace, Rialto, San Bernardino, Blythe, Coachella, Indio and Cathedral City.

In San Bernardino, fireworks can't be set off north of Highway 30.
