Portion of Barton Road to close May 17

A two-block stretch of Barton Road in Grand Terrace and Colton will be closed for 3½ hours May 17 for a bridge inspection.

The road will be closed between La Crosse Avenue in Grand Terrace and Terrace Avenue in Colton from 9:30 a.m. to 1 p.m. while state officials conduct a seismic inspection on a bridge.

Residents and business people will be allowed access, although delays may be expected, the city of Grand Terrace announced.
