Senior Center Progress and Cost OverRuns...

Had short talk with someone who may know what is going on at the G.T. (New) Senior center. And, why the delay.Aparently he says the air conditioning for the whole unit was undersized. At a goodly expense now it is being re-designed. Where is the money coming from for this oversight?

The addition of simple carports along eastern boundary also hit them hard. It was not in original estimate, nor funded for.

I think the residents of G.T. would be stupid to say OK to a new School Bond issue. They got zero for the first one. Apparently the school district went and spent more than 60% of the dollars collected prior to beginning of year. Leaving near nothing except a tax on each and every one's property bill every fall. Fool me once that is OK. Fool me twice, and it won't happen.

Sell, the property, and move the school to another neighborhood. I also see the wood truss Mfg'r has not really moved. And, they are receiving shipments of wood from Oregon and Canada about four times per week. That don't seem like a business ready to move to me.

PA says SNIFF SNIFF... NO MORE GT MONEY FOR the Senior Center... a Budget is a BUDGET... Schwab HIRED a PROFESSIONAL DEVELOPER... to Design and Build the building it sould come in on budget not a dime more.

Is is possible that the larger air conditioner will cause more noise that would have been flagged in the EIR?

YEP... Debt Financing of Governmental Operations? HEAR IT YET??? Is it time to capture the city assets and the assets of the City Management and Council to pay off the debts? Isn't that what you do when you go Bankrupt?
