From the Email InBox: Replacements Needed

It is time that the citizens of the City of Grand Terrace take as much energy they had over a Name of a School and direct it to the City Council and City Management.

First: The Sheriff should have handed the Report on Berry to the Sheriff not the City Council in the first place.

In the Second Place: There is no excuse that the City Council did not direct the Sheriff to send the report to the District Attorney's Office that would have been the right thing to do.

In the Third Place: To continue Berry's Employment, give him increases in income, and promotion of status and sing his praises while all this has happened is down right wrong headed.

In the Fourth Place: For the above not to have been done is a conspiracy of a cover up of wrong doing.

The Sheriff is a contracted service interested in not offending the City Management and City Council. This motivated him to send the report to the City Council and City Manager for action rather than the proper authority the District Attorney. This is a dereliction of duty for corrupt reasons of protecting the contract under which he was employed. The City Council if in fact they were informed conspired or collaborated in the cover up by not sending the District Attorney the file for action, and directing the City Manager to terminate Steve Berry for cause. The City Manager should have recommended and insisted on Steve Berry's termination or suspension until he had been tried of the allegations in the file.

But, now that Tom Schwab wants his job back some how this Steve Berry information is being released to the Press. This is interesting timing isn't it? Well if this is how Tom Schwab runs the City's Business, then it is reasonable to ask what does he have on the City Council Members who in spite of being against a Tom Schwab Recommendation or Action continue to vote as he "Recommends" nearly each and every time.

It is time for some folks who were inspired to spring into action about the name of the School take equal pride in their City and run for Council and Mayor and terminate the two City Managers. Have a Grand Terrace Truth Audit and set the City on a Fresh Start, to be fitting for the environment for a New High School and focus on the Citizens not a few "Special Friends of the Council and City Managers" of the type that are invited to the GT Gala and the Private Christmas Party and so forth.

Steve Berry been investigated for Falsifying Government / Court Records and Embezzlement, and the findings released to the City Council is just wrong. It should have gone to the District Attorney's Office for Prosecution, not brought to the house where such behavior apparently was covered up. When no action was taken by the city, the Sheriff should have sent it on to the District Attorney's Office and to the Court whose Community Service Order was violated by the actions of Steve Berry and the apparent collusion of the City Management... clearly the Materials had to be paid for by the city Finance Officer with Council Approval at some point in time.
