Sex Offender Regulation to Mirror the County Ordinance.
The ACLU has filed a law suit and will now target Grand Terrace to be included because the county restrictions applied to GT leaves no residential place available for Sex Offenders to be located... The city can not fully exclude Sex Offenders from living in the city... In order to not be included in the ACLU Law Suit the city should map where Sex Offenders can Live in GT and not be in violation of the newly adopted code.
Sex Offenders are bad, but this is an example of Go Along Politics that don't serve the interests of Grand Terrace. The "Go Along" has an impact to Grand Terrace that larger cities will not have. Where in Grand Terrace is far enough from a school, day care, or park? You had better get out your map and mark it up and send it to the ACLU before they file against the city.
