SHE GOT IT RIGHT A Vote No on the Eminent Domain Ordinance would aid in protecting your Property rights.

THE OTHER 4 voted to continue the Potential Practice and Threat of the use of Eminent Domain In Grand Terrace. Stating that "Owner Occupied" Property is exempt or protected from Eminent Domain.

Well Mayor Ferre, and Tony Petta and others who have their property in trusts, may want to know that a House Held in Trust is not technically a Home that is Owner Occupied. So they too may find themselves on the Eminent Domain Take List of the Redevelopment Manager's Whim.

WARNING TO ALL WHO INVEST IN GRAND TERRACE THE 1979 PLAN LISTS ALMOST ALL OF GRAND TERRACE AS BEING IN NEED OF REDEVELOPMENT. YOUR INVESTMENT IS SUBJECT TO EMINENT DOMAIN IN PERPETUITY. (FOREVER).

WILL THIS ATTRACT INVESTMENT and or QUALITY HOME BUYERS... NO...

WE also got a lesson on the REDEVELOPMENT AGENCY IS IN CHARGE AND HAS MORE POWER THAN THE CITY.

The Practices and Procedures of the RDA need to be modified and restricted in addition to the Restrictions on the City. Let's put it on the Agenda and get it done and stop sliding by the issue.

Note the Good thing is. The Ordinance is being signed after the deadline for filing it. So the GT RDA did not comply with the requirement and is filing the document LATE and it may be challenged based upon this reason if there is sufficient number of letters sent to the State Redevelopment Agency and the State Attorney General Jerry Brown.
