City Council Meeting

Well, we could be insulted again with the conversation at the council meeting. Lee Ann Garcia implied that the members of the council held some sort of higher form of intelligence than the ordinary population, and not all of the voters will be able to understand the complexity of governmental structure. Then they all spoke at length about what is a mayor, who could be mayor, and how it would be unfair to a current council member to have to give up their council seat to run.

Here is an idea. Why don't you all resign. So we can start new.

Your conversation suggested that you carve into stone the structure of the mayor's office, and that in the future, the citizens would not or could not make intelligent changes to the governance. Under the current system, what the citizens can't do is affect the actions of the City Manager and the Redevelopment Agency.

Inspite of public requests the council is still holding private negotiations. Hello we are the City, and We are the School's Parents.... should we not know what the negotiations are?

How much practice will it take for you all to speak into the microphone and stop looking at each other. You have directional microphones. Testing Testing..... Figure it out will you please.

Thank you for your service. Please let us start with a clean slate, please resign.
