I heard Virginia say at the City Council Meeting that no one said anything at the senior center when the furniture was removed. Virginia, if a tree falls in the forest and your not there to hear it, see it or feel it fall, the event still took place. Do not imply the staff did nothing, just because you were not party to the events and conversations that took place while you were enjoying the lunch and presentation.

The staff worked. They minimized the impact of the event by keeping it quiet and orderly, with minimal interruption to the facilities intended operations. The City Manager and Council Members were informed and on site, prior to the furniture being removed. If you didn't know what was going on the on site staff did their jobs regardless of the outcome.
