From the Email InBox: Highgrove Happenings A Review

Dear Gramps
Please Post this Review of the GT / Highgrove Happenings Articles,
thanks

Home Invasion in nearby Highgrove should put us all on the reminder to look out for each other and be safe about leaving doors and windows open during this wonderful spring weather. If you have your windows do so in a way that an adult would not be able to get in… 4 inches open and have a dowel or broom handle stopper so the window can’t be opened to gain access. If you have a Door Open, Please use a Security Screen Door. Having Fresh Air In your house is good, but don’t invite an bigger problem.

Home Invasions often are a result of being followed from a bank, or store where you have been observed with a large amount of Cash. When coming home make a note of who is behind you for the last few blocks of travel. Be Cautious. IF you think someone is following you, drive to the Fire Station… or to the Market. IF you feel there is a problem inside your house, do not go in. Wait for a Sheriff to escort you in.

Burro Bother:

On One Hand, we are told trim weeds and grass and brush for Fire Safety.
On the Other Hand we are told we should support a Blue Mt. Wilderness Park.
On the Other Hand we sell Fireworks that start fires.
On the Other Hand we are Bothered by Burro Visits in town during a record drought.

Relocating the Burro as a solution:
On One Hand, there will not be Poop Piles a half a foot tall.
On the Other Hand, Weeds will grow.
On the Other Hand, Cougars, Mt. Lions or Puma what ever you want to call them will have one less thing to eat.
On the Other Hand, You’ll not have to feed your Pet as it will become Puma Food.
On the Other Hand, that may be less poop of a different sort.
On the Other Hand, Burro’s are not “Natural” they should be replaced with dear, bears, Mt. Sheep, Rabbits, and other Natives.

Perhaps the citizens and City Council should address something like AES and Fireworks prior to even thinking about Burro Poop as a priority problem.

On the Other Hand. Burro Carts may be the only local transportation plan that GT can establish. You could use a Burro Cart on GT Streets but not a LEV or NEV. Provided of Course YOU had a lot that was large enough and zoned for a Burro. On the Other Hand, you could Drive your Burro Cart, and park it at one of the few areas around town that still are zoned for animals.

YES DRIVE SLOW AND SOBER AND WATCH OUT FOR THE BURRO.

Notice- Need for More Information:

Highrove Happenings wanting people to look for Highgrove Related Information on the Web. This is quite an admission for a NEWS Paper. This blog and the numerouse citizens who have supported it by contributing information, comments, and documents has been chastised because “GrandPaTerrace” remains an unknown entity. In the past citizens with names and faces and addresses provided in public meetings could say something and it was Duly Noted and evaporated into a big black hole of Not on the Agenda it will disappear. When someone takes the time to take those comments, ideas and issues and the documents mined out of city hall and put them in a place where every citizen has an opportunity to review them rather than address the issue with additional research, or even a place on the agenda, the Highgrove Happenings chose to attack GrandPaTerrace. That is like swinging at a PiƱata that is not there.

Well, to Highgrove Happenings good luck getting information out of GT City Hall. Yes what is done in GT DOES affect YOU in Highgrove. The Reverse is True Also. Highgrove Municipality and Grand Terrace need to collaborate on the High School, Main Street, Metrolink, and AES. It would be nice if RIVERSIDE could figure this out.

Virginia Harper’s Views and Muse:

Art Show Information was dated (the deadline has past for submitting artwork), and yet it shows that the Art Show Hosts continue to Neglect to include YOUTH in their activities and in this case the Art Show. The Age Requirement starts at 18. Yes you'll hear there is limited space as the reason. Why not then a YOUTH ART SHOW for age 12 to 18? ART is no longer in school by then and those YOUTH with Tallent have little or no outlet for their art.

Trash Day:

April 14th. Enter Canal at Barton Rd drive toward Mt. Vernon… The Containers are to be placed on the East Side of the Road for off loading. This Traffic Pattern will ease the back up of traffic.

Soccor Team Recruiting Girls – Are they going to do some fund raising at GT DAYS?

GT Days? IF it is For GT and BY GT Great. But who are the “Friends of the Festival” who are giving money to the GT Days Fund and not saying so to the public? AES? CFBH? Jacobsen? Are they Businesses with items needing Council Approval? The Public Should be informed how much who is contributing when they also have pending issues with the City Council.
