The Mayor shows new Tone or is it Favoritism?

She introduced speakers at the most recent City Council Meetings as "Our Friend Barney", and Our Friend Jeff...

She did not give them the 3 Minute Warning to Summarize either.

Perhaps supporting White Roses will get you the Friend Title?

When have you heard Our Friend Bill, Our Friend Patricia, Our Friend Sharron, Our Friend Roxanne? I don't recall them receiving such a welcome.

Will Jeff's suggestion that the City Planning update its Code to be Green Friendly if not Green Requirements for New Developments? EVEN after it was requested to be put on the agenda by a council member will the All Powerful City Manager Tom Schwab put it on the agenda or let it get to the City Council?

Well, lets review, there is no Town Meeting to Educate the Public and City Council regarding the Proclamation Requested by Roxanne regarding the AES Power Plant and the harm it will and could cause the citizens and students at the New High School. EVEN after a member on the City Council requested it be put on the agenda.

There is no reason to not have a meeting if the AES and CEA don't respond to the request to attend a Town Hall Meeting for Risks on AES... and the Proclamation. If they are given Notice of the Meeting and don't show up that is their problem. Why is the City Council hiding for being held accountable for being informed and taking an action on something so important?

They are able to annually sign a proclamation regarding saving water and rewarding students for poster contests. The time spent on that could have been spent on reviewing the risks of the AES Power Plant. Water Conservation supported by the City is laughable if you have ever noticed the water flowing into the street when the Island is being watered at Mt. Vernon and Grand Terrace Road or any of the other city property where it often runs over the curb and into the street. Not only is this a waste of water, and money, it is a safety hazard and causes the street to go bad faster.

40 Minute City Council Meeting and no time spent on AES. This is not leadership.

How is it the Roses will Protect the City Hall? Gee to begin with they are past where the City Hall is. Second they are only in flower part of the year. (Not the Darkest Months must be added). How is it that White Roses, Mayor Ferre and "Our Friend Jeff" all happen in the same week?

Well, Our Friend Jeff has asked the city to be Green... AES is NOT GREEN.
City Codes require Land Scape that is heavy water use.
City Codes restrict the use of Solar and Wind Generators
City Code and agreements with SCE do not require SCE to Buy Back Power
City Code does not require RDA Developments like BMSV and Town Center(Square) to Be Green
RDA does not provide loans to Homeowners to Put PV or Wind Generators on their property.
RDA does not provide places for goats for a City Fire Protection Herd.

40 Minutes and so much that could have been done, can be done, but then again they have won the election and apparently chased away everyone from participation in City Government... except for their "Friends".

SO true 40 Minutes and so much that could have been done, can be done, but then again they have won the election and apparently chased away everyone from participation in City Government... except for their "Friends", many citizens of Grand Terrace are getting frustrated with the council meetings. They know if they go up the podium to speak - the council is not listening and for the most part doesn't seem to care what they say. If council members had to take a quiz on what was said, they would fail misserably. Since the election, most of the council meetings have been rush, rush, rush. The longest council meeting was interviewing the candidates for the open council seat - and was most likely decided before the council meeting took place.
