Businesses In Grand Terrace

The City's Web Page, that has not been Improved much and is Updated only when it is of interest to the City Staff and City Council and not to provide maximum Information to Citizens, should List all the Business Licensed in the City of Grand Terrace on their GT Business Web Page.

All Home Child Care Licenses, All Garden and Yard Services, All Contractors Painting, and Putting In Swimming Pools, and all Home Based Businesses should be listed. WHY... well for one these businesses may benefit from more business from the Local Market Place. Why when a business does business in GT without a License it does so without paying taxes. When a business is in Grand Terrace and Provides Services and or Product to Customers in Grand Terrace the Environment is helped by cutting down the added transportation or fuel cost of those who drive to Grand Terrace.

A healthy economy circulates the money within the local economy. The longer money circulates within Grand Terrace the better or more sustainable the community.

Finally if a Sticker or Placard could be issued to all Garden or Workmen that would indicate an "Approved Licensed" Operator in GT, it may aid in identifying those who are not doing gardening but looking to break in to homes, deal drugs or other activities that happen during the day, and weekends. It is interesting how many pools are dug and finished on the weekend, one wonders if there is a permit on file... or if the business is licensed in the City of Grand Terrace.

As we see more and more arrests for drug use, and transportation and sales we should try to target or be aware of those in our community who are lurkers, folks that are just lurking around, or even looking like they are working but aren't really... These are the folks the Citizen Patrol should be watching.
