Grand Terrace Needs a Simple Green Program:

With the City Wide Promotion of Florescent Lights the City has failed to provide a Environmentally Prudent Disposal Method or Collection Point for Spent Florescent Bulbs.

These Bulbs are a good thing, but should be recycled and cared for independent of trash or other recyclables. They contain a small amount of mercury and that should be disposed of with GREAT CARE, and recaptured to insure its perpetual use, and keeping it out of the water table.

A Depository Box like the book return could be placed either at City Hall or at some other convenient spot. Where we can drive up and dispose of our spent florescent bulbs.
