Road rebuilding to close off-ramp, slow traffic

The southbound Barton Road exit off Interstate 215 will be closed Feb. 13-14 for road work.
The off-ramp will be closed from 6 a.m. to 6 p.m. so crews can tear out and replace the pavement on two nearby streets.
La Crosse and Vivienda avenues are being completely rebuilt.

Traffic on La Crosse and Vivienda will be limited to one lane Feb. 13-15, officials said. No parking will be allowed on the streets during construction.

Motorists might experience delays because of the work.

The city received $235,000 in federal Community Development Block Grants and is chipping in $15,000 from the General Fund for the project.
The two roads aren't scheduled to be rebuilt again until 2021, officials said.
