City Offices Closed November 24 through 26
In Observance of the Thanksgiving holiday, City Offices will be closed November 24 through November 26. The Grand Terrace Child Care Center will be closed November 25 and November 26. City Offices and the Child Care Center will resume their regular business hours on Monday, November 29, 2010.

The practice of not having a meeting prior to Thanksgiving day has been routine. This is to give the Council and Staff the option to get out of town for the holiday.
On the Agenda for the December 14th meeting will be at a minimum.
The seating of the New Mayor and Council Members.
The second reading of the Development Agreement for the Jacobsen/Stater's Development.
The method of filling the City Council Member slot that Walt occupied. This could go fast or slow.
There could be a motion to appoint the person who got the most votes in the most recent election who is not currently seated, that would be Sylvia Robles. Or they could pick amongst the remaining candidates who did not even get close to the number of votes she did.There could be a motion to open the pool for all interested parties to apply for the City Council to then vote to fill the space.Or the Council Could move to hold a special election at the cost of $50,000 to fill the space in that case the seat would remain empty until the election.
