GRAND TERRACE
Council approves travel authorization

The City Council has authorized Assistant City Manager Steve Berry to travel to Pacific Grove for three days to attend a hazardous materials training session.

The training is being put on by the Governor's Office of Emergency Services through the California Specialized

The training, which takes place April 18-20, will cover recognizing hazardous materials, assessing chemical hazards, selecting protective equipment, managing response actions, finding resources and funding and implementing an incident command system.

The trip will cost about $600, said City Manager Tom Schwab.

Grandpaterrace :

wants the community to know, that Mr. Berry does not live in GT, so Managing response Actions will be delayed, assessing chemical hazards will be only done 9:00 to 4:00, and incident command system will have no one to man it? Or perhaps we should have sent a Fireman, or a Person who LIVES in GT?
