Deadline for Fireworks Ballot Argument Is MONDAY

Can you make sure something gets on the ballot against fireworks...

The City Council apparently hasn't been listening to both sides of the argument to be able to write a pro and con on the issue. Or is it they are afraid of doing the right thing and suffer the wrath of the Sports Parents?

Ban Fireworks in GT.

Grand Terrace has limited resources for law and fire enforcement and response. Fireworks of any kind increase the risk of injury and property loss to all the Citizens of Grand Terrace. In addition to the human tragedy which looms every year fireworks are sold, our pets and native animals are put through a week of terror.

Fire Works ... at making noise and light.
Fire Works ... at Burning Flesh, Homes and Hillsides
Fire Works ... at Terrorizing Pets and Native Wild Life
Fire Works ... Pollute the Air
Fire Works ... Increase Solid Waste
Fire Works ... Increase the Cost of Home Owner's Insurance (Not sure about this call an agent to see if it is true or not)

We live in an area with a Fire Risk all year around. Adding to that risk is not sound judgement.

The real cost of enforcement and the possible cost of a tragic fire or injury is not offset by the income produced by the sale and use of fireworks. Therefore Fireworks should be banned from Grand Terrace, as it is in most of the rest of the State of California.

The risk is real. The City of Grand Terrace will not open the parks for the discharge of fireworks because of the risk to the city. Yet the City Council has under Schwab's Administration allowed all of the Citizens to be put at risk and that risk needs to be stopped now. Vote to Ban Fireworks in Grand Terrace.
