An OminiGO ,16 passenger van/bus will begin serving Grand Terrace on Sept. 7. There will will be a free service until September 30th. The route replaces the RTA 25 route and will make a run up to the Senior Center/and Housing on Grand Terrace Rd. This will allow GT Citizens to connect to Riverside or San Bernardino Transit and Hospital Facilities in Loma Linda / Redlands.
The service will operate seven days a week. The loupe of stops will be about every 70 minutes apart. The RTA 25 bus line ran 2 buses and they were about 60 minutes apart. So the service is more accessable to the people who may use it and is about the same frequency of past service. Actually it is improved service for the Seniors as they will not have to call ahead for dial a ride or access service.
Riverside Transit Agency stops serving Grand Terrace with its Route 25 five days after the OmniGo begins service.
Route 325, will cost $1.50 per ride, or $4 a day, $15 for a week and $47 for a month. Discounts will be available for senior citizens, students and the disabled. For frequent riders a monthly pass may be the best option. A full day pass would include route 325 but all other connections to Omnitrans services.
