From the Email Inbox: More About Council Apointment

Hey Gramps,

It is so obvious to me that this council, save Jim, feels invincible. I have to ask myself why.

Why are they so dead set on ignoring citizens who have brought legitimate concerns before them?
Why do the refuse to answer questions?
Why don't they want to know anything about anything?
Why do they like to take credit for things they haven't done?
The only answer I can get is it is all about the money.

They don't want any new ideas, or new council members because their goal is to make as much money as they can and get out. They will leave Grand Terrace and move to Montana, Wyoming, etc. They have no interest in living in the mess they have created and insisted we live in. While this is just my opinion, it is based on the history of their behavior and decision.

Why is there such an apathy in Grand Terrace? Because people are tired. They believe the lies and the dog and pony shows. What happened to the eight acre lake and huge fountain - OAC (Outdoor Adventure Center)? Which was just an RV sales park. It vanished because of bad planning. Schwab can't put a project together. He relies on Jacobsen, who only has an interest the bottom dollar. He doesn't care that his projects are empty three years .later.

Why does LeAnn Garcia follow the pack? Because she wants a career in politics.
Why does Maryetta Ferre want to be Mayor? Because her daddy was.
Why does Bea Cortez want to be a council member? Because Maryetta told her to.

Why do they want Bucannon instead of Wilson. Because Wilson is his own man and will ask too many questions.

The good news is. We can recall them in six months.
