"IS IT HARMONIOUS"

While Ms. Ferry is more interested in the harmony, and the plants, she seemed to miss the point. Perhaps this is why she never asks questions.

It seems to me that Mr. Miller and Mr. Hilkey are increasingly tired of the "dog and pony show" too. I was so happy that they could stay on point, however, their questions weren't answered either. "We are hicks, but we still want to know what it is you are proposing", Mr. Hilkey said. To that I say ditto. We are asking just what is it Jacobsen is proposing.

I would like to see the complete plan before it goes to Council. Not what could happen.

The whole "pony show" with regards to the OAC. They said we are going to have a beautiful area with a lake and walking paths. Really, now there is nothing. But a lot of money has been spent to do studies. I would like to know who has affiliations with the companies who are hired to do studies.

Now they call the Barton Road project the "Town Center". Before they called it a City Walk. Something we will be proud of . Now we have a developer, Jacobsen, who has had license from the City to strong arm homeowners into selling him their property so he control's the development. Instead of a City Walk, Schwab now says they have a letter of intent from Lowe's. In prior meetings he denied any connection with a Lows project.

Yes, I may be a hick, but I'm an educated one. Something smells fishy in City Hall.

Last night we heard a presentation as to the impact our City streets have been receiving from increased traffic over the years. I heard that when the high school goes in there will be a minimum of 5,000 more cars daily. Yet, our City advisors (employees) tell us of impact studies that they have paid for and show no impact at all. YOU HAVE GOT TO DO BETTER THAN THAT TO FOOL THIS HICK

WE ARE FORCED TO INCREASE THE NUMBER OF STOP LIGHTS (5), SPEED BUMBS AND LANES ON OUR STREETS. IT WAS SUGGESTED THAT MICHIGAN SHOULD BE INCREASED TO A FOUR LANE STREET.

1. WE DON'T WANT MORE TRUCKS TO PUT OUR CHILDREN IN DANGER
2. WE DON'T WANT A LOWES ON OUR MAIN STREET
3. WE DON'T WANT TO INCREASE TRAFFIC ON BARTON ROAD.
4. WE WANT TO BE ABLE TO GO TO WORK IN THE MORNING
5. WE DON'T WANT TO SPEND OUR DAYS ARGUING ABOUT WHAT WE SHOULD HAVE IN GRAND TERRACE

City Dept. Staff propose:
1. OAC
2. Town Center
3. High School

in that order as priorities for our City. I'm wondering what the citizens of Grand Terrace think about their priorities. I encourage everyone to come out to the "dog and pony show" city council meeting on the 23rd. Jacobsen will hopefully have some answers
