(Building Homes in a long the hill, close to water tower, boulders, and grass fires, mud slides... OH MY this one could be interesting. Orchards used to take on the occasional slide and bolder, how will the new homes be protected? This Development Plan Concerns the Neighbors no doubt. No doubt they will be dully Noted, the Planning Commissions Approval will be accepted and approved, and there will be another law suit because the City has not managed the process properly. OH and "They" will join the ranks of those citizens disparagingly referred to as the small group of people who are "Against EVERYTHING". ) It will be interesting.

Email To Pa on Agenda Items and Citizen Questions:

My neighbors are asking me what to do next about this proposed subdivisionnext to us. Hell if I know, that was the wierdest Planning Commission I've ever seen in action.

City Attorney seemed completely lost, befuddled and useless. Ditto the CD Director. Six of seven commissioners showed for the first meeting but only three of seven for the follow up meeting. We raised all sorts of issues about the zone change, drainage, utilities, aproposed alley up to our property line, pad heights, looming 2 story homes, the wisdom of building homes up next to a 3 million gallon reservoir, increasing traffic on Pico through a zone change (Pico has alot of kids), our flimsy wood fences being inadequate etc. but got almost no response on any of these issues.

PS: I wonder why the day they hold the Grand Terrace Day Parade and Festit always seems to be about 195 degrees? Every timewe go to this shin dig I want to leave as soon as we get there. Sizzlinghot food, sizzling hot day and not much shade. Priceless. Or should it be Over Priced would be a better way of saying it. Those Donations could be better spent in a number of ways.
