From the Email Inbox: The Importance of Words

When the last Notice of Intent to Recall was served it had the same words and the Title of Mayor for Council Member Ferre's title.

Now she has signed documents as Mayor, referred to herself as mayor, and been given the authority to be Mayor, but lets be exact, she is not the Mayor she is a Council Member.

Ok, that is now clear, after the third review of the document, the Recall Supporters will no doubt make the change and re-serve the Notice of Intent to Recall.

When the Press Enterprise has an article saying the GT Recall Effort hits a Roadblock it suggest it has been stopped and can't go forward. Detour rather than Roadblock may have been a better choice of words.

The Recall will no doubt go forth. The Non-Mayor, Council Member Ferre will 7 days to "respond" to the recall, not that she hasn't been working on it as soon as the draft hit city hall. The response will be added to the Official Recall Petition and the effort to collect signatures begins after the Petition has been approved by the City Clerk. There are many steps and detours in the process of putting forth a Recall or Measure. Frustrating as it may seem to the Recall Targets, the effort will continue to its full course, detours and all.

When Citizens Learn the Process of Governance, there may be better governance.
