CITY COUNCIL WAKE UP YOU LOOK LIKE PUPPETS

Why is it City Council doesn't answer our questions? Why is it when they do they go completely around the question. Perhaps it is their forum. Obviously they can't get the question right if they are to respond after everyone has presented their views. And why is it we can't correct them if they state our question wrong. Or, why can't we comment? An open discussion would be a good idea at this point. I don't feel our City Council knows what they are doing. It seems they already have their decisions made for them and they are just going through the motion.

Was City Council surprised by the presentation on the OAC last night because they had no idea it was going to be on the agenda? And were they surprised because they had no idea that it would be a different developer out of Los Angeles? I sure was. I'm glad we dumped the idea of Recreation Vehicles, but now we are spending another $xooo, ooo? The City keeps saying we need money, where is all this money coming from to keep hiring developers to give presentations? Sure, let's go back to the drawing board but lets include the citizens before you spend our money. We have been saying all along, that you are not listening. It seems to me that if the city was synergistic with the community, we wouldn't be having these playground fights.

It would be better if we hired people who live in our city. They would have a vested interest.

Why wasn't the City Attorney at the meeting last night? Why was his son there and why should we listen to him. We're paying junior to run our meeting? That's because Council doesn't know the laws or the Robert's Book of Order. Something is seriously wrong when the City needs an attorney to protect them from the citizens. Isn't it his job to make sure the Council knows the laws. Why do the citizens have to do all the research?

Bite your tongue Mr. Hilke, the principal is on the grounds. Mrs. Ferre needs to go back to school and learn how to play with adults.
