GRAND TERRACE PARTNERS

THURSDAY AT 6 pm

Fellow residents of Grand Terrace…

We need your support and input at the City Council Meeting to be held this coming….

Thursday, September 8th, at 6:00 PM AT City Hall, 22795 Barton Road

The city is making an effort to create a new zoning law and apply it to one of our established residential areas, the northeast section of our town. This neighborhood is one of single family homes on ¼ acre lots and has been zoned as low density housing since the city first formulated it’s city plan.

In an effort to build a 2 or 3 story 120 unity apartment complex on only two acres, the city is in the process of creating a whole new zone in the midst of land that was reserved by the city for a quiet, low density, single family home residential living.

These apartments may well be needed, (the City has not shown this), but there is land available within town where they could be build in areas already zoned for, and available within town where they could be built in areas already zoned for, and more appropriate to apartment living. The funding for this project is to come at considerable taxpayer expense, which we, along with our sons and daughters will end up shouldering.

No competitive bids were taken on this project; it was simply handed to one firm on a silver platter!

Come help stop the city from chipping away at our peaceful community without our permission, and by breaking the very rules that they authored.

Bring your neighbors!
Meet your neighbors!
Fight for our quiet streets!
Let your voice be heard!

See you at City Hall Thursday the 8th from 6:00 pm on! (This Thursday)

City hall is located on Barton Road about 1/3 mile east the intersection of Barton Road and Mt. Vernon. It’s on the south side or right hand side as you drive up the hill on Barton Road, and is before you reach the stoplight at Preston.

If you can’t make the meeting and want to call the city to protest the project and the tax based funding of it, call Community Development at (909)430-2247 and ask for Gary Koontz
