Dear Friends and community members,

Last night a 1st grade student was killed after being backed over by a car in Colton.

Thelma Delgado was a first grader at Grand Terrace Elementary School and lived in Colton with her mom and sister.

I understand that Thelma's mom is a single. Thelma's sister is in 4th grade.

From what I have been told, the incident was a tragic accident and not foul play.

I am sorry to be contacting you with such tragic news, but I am hoping that you and your organization will be able to help.

It is very important that we come together and help Thelma's family.
I am coordinating the collection of donations for the family and also the establishment of a Scholarship Fund in Thelma's memory.

Donations to help with funeral expenses or contributions to the Thelma Delgado Memorial Scholarship may be sent to;
