You will be seeing signs in Private Citizens Yards supporting one candidate or another. It is the Right of a Private Citizen to express their freedom of speech in this way. Let's hope that the signs do not show up on utility polls or public lands and right a ways.
If a Citizen wants to express other ideas by posting them such as "RECALL the GT COUNCIL", "Fire the City Manager", that is Freedom of speech and the ACLU has piles of case law supporting your right to do so. "Say NO to LOWES". or "I like Peanut Butter" it is all free speech, on PRIVATE PROPERTY. If you don't like reading the signs DON'T LOOK!
Things to watch for: The relationship between the Council, and Contributions to the GT Day's Party Fund, The intrusion into a Child Center EVENT such as Halloween Haunt by Politics and Campaigning. These people, politicians, businesses, and even churches that pitch themselves when there is supposed to be a Halloween Haunt for children are despicable, and that is the nice word for it. Don't make a contribution unless it is altruistic and you don't expect a favorable decision, or payoff down the road.
