For Grand Terrace City Manager Tom Schwab, who received his brother's kidney about 2 1/2 years ago, one of the most surprising revelations was how quickly he forgot about his prior life on dialysis. Where he once had to hook up to the machine at an early hour each evening, after the transplant he didn't even notice the hour had come and gone. I suspect he was busy finally living his life.
