Who's On FIRST... or Mayor/Council/Mayor/Council..

You heard it tonight.

IF Mayor Ferre is running for Mayor, and she wins, the council seat would be filled by nomination or by special election if a majority of 3 could not fill the seat in 30 days or agree to hold a special election.

IF she runs and loses, she still would be facing a recall challenge and hopefully an election a second time... defending her Council Seat.

We would not be recalling her if she won the Mayor-ship as we are Recalling her in her Council Member Seat, and it would required she has 6 months after her election before a recall can start... State Rules not mine...

HOWEVER, none of the above affects the current recall effort on Garcia or the Seating of the Council Member for the Hilkey/Cortez Seat (One of which is eliminated for the Mayor Seat)...

So it is kind of like Musical Chairs for Hilkey/Cortez and who ever else runs for Council this time there is one seat, how many Council Members running for what was in the Past two Seats..
