Closed Door Meeting Should Be Disclosed to Public

The City Council moved to a closed door meeting twice during the past Council Meeting. The first topic was the Furniture Issue at the Senior Center. This should have been dealt with in public. What is it that they are hiding behind closed doors? Are they covering up for the former City Manager's sloppy contracting? The second time had two items on the agenda one was negotiations for employees, and Pending Possible Legal Action Against the City. I think the citizens should be more aware of the nature of both of these items.

Employees particularly those earning above 80,000.00 per year should be willing to take a pay cut, right along with the City Council taking a reduction in their car allotments, and stipends, and a reduction in other costs associated with the City Council Members. The contract with the City Manager should also be on the reduction table, even though she has her work cut out for her.

A Possible Law Suit. For What? By Who? This information would not change the possible outcome. Who are they really protecting? Are they covering up their own ineffectiveness or that of the City Attorney, and Ex City Managers?
