More on Citizens Upset with Planning Comissioners

Many of the items noted on the attachment were not allowed to be discussed or resolved. For was a heavy warning by Planning Comissioner Wilson NOT to look back at past history of the applicant, past fall of 2009, but concentrate the comments to what happened this week, and in the future.

The Clear Message was that if you were to mention such, they would then turn off the microphone and then have you sit down or leave. (This only applied one direction though the out of town supporters of Swartsfinger were allowed to say how great the current facility and operations are and how much improved they are from past practices and facilities.

Now the day after the meeting there were trucks lined up out front of the Swertfingers service this early morning. There was no reason not to approve the application, because of past conduct is not a predictor of future conduct.

There is yet to be another review of the applicant's compliance (or progress) scheduled for June of July of this year. Citizens should be allowed to speak and update their observations of the operations and compliance with the CUP directions.

Eventually the City Council will be asked to approve the CUP but their pattern of past conduct will indicate that the Public will be allowed to speak for 3 minutes and be duly noted, and then they will rubber stamp the Planning Commission's findings and the staff recommendations. Perhaps it is time for the only way citizens have a voice in environmental matters do I hear a law suit being filed?
