We do need industry and power in Grand Terrace. The placement of the high school in an industrial zone was questionable and will limit any real opportunity for industrial or commercial employment opportunities sufficient to build a sustainable community. However, it is good that the Energy Folks in Sacramento have our student's health in mind when our own City Council did nothing to protect the students after they pushed the location being adjacent to a Power Plant and an area of High Grove that is zoned Light Industrial and Manufacturing, and let's remember the Rail Road Tracks.
Well it is almost a done deal. Let's hope the toxins from the metal plating company don't come to the surface as a result of rains wicking the toxins up to the surface.
