Wonder why some of the GT people at the meeting were suggesting GT has been so perfect up until Berry. Schwab had control over Berry after hiding the police report. It is not so important who released the information Schwab, Berry, or Miller. As Tom Schwab said the list of people who Berry has wronged is long. The fact is, what was done was wrong.

Just because Schwab was able to get away with under the table deals doesn't it follow reason that the rest of the council should be allow to do the same.


Maybe Berry won't get money to keep his month shut. Wonder if the mayor will give Berry a chair and a private party at the senior center at a cost to the City.

People were too busy being upset with Berry, to see what has been going on for years.

Oh well, it is a start in doing a little cleaning.

We will never hear the truth from the members of council that have been there way too long.

Schwab and Berry ran the City and the three members (Ferre, Cortes, Garcia) of the Council acted as co-conspirators. Bea Cortes could not render a vote to put her out, if she was on fire, without the guidance of Schwab or Berry, evidenced by her abstention on her vote on Berry on the 14TH.

A few years ago Cortes was taken to task for her ineptitude by a citizen of Grand Terrace in an editorial published in the San Bernardino Sun. The author of the scathing article gave Ms. Cortes a parting shot by saying she is 64 years of age. At the next Council meeting Council woman Cortes, instead of answering the charges railed against her, indignantly defended the age charge by stating " I am not 64, I am 58" I remember Councilman Hilkey laughing so hard the tears came to his eyes.

The long time members of the Council have allowed violation after violation of State RDA laws with their full consent and knowledge. Citizens presented evidence across the podium to the council and were ignored or "Duly Noted", and then never addressed.

I hope they have a through vetting of the applicants, their judgment so far has been less than stellar and in more than a few instances it has been border line, if not over the line, of bribery and malfeasance.

It has been well documented on this site over the years and in the last few weeks. I have watched citizens of Grand Terrace maligned, verbally assaulted by friends of Ferre and the council for doing nothing more than telling the truth. We shall see if any of the Council have learned anything from this ordeal they created with Schwab and Berry. I think not.

The ball now is in Berry's court and I expect him to reply through the courts. Less we forget, Berry has friends in high places by his own admission. His past conduct should indicate that he will call upon these "Friends in High Places" and will act with a vengeance against those who have offended him.
