Schwab & The Report Trail and More?

If Tom Schwab did not sent the Steve Embezzlement Investigation Report to the Reporters and other City Officials then he may want to provide a list of people he had given the report to or told them of the existence of the report.

It is fairly clear that the Grand Terrace City News was not the News Paper that broke the story, and their first approach to the story was to exclusively let Steve Berry present his dismissal of the allegations. Things went down hill from there and Steve Berry expanded the mud slinging fight between Scwhab and Berry to include the Millers.

Good luck with coming out better off with regards to the Legal Adds as a Conflict of interest against Council Member Miller. The City Manager (Tom Schwab) and or assistant city manager should not have allowed the placement of the adds if there was or is a conflict of interest. They are allegedly the professional city managers that should know. The Millers are not Professional City Managers they are Individuals who happen to be married. Jim being a Citizen Elected to the City Council, and Margie as the new owner of the only local news paper.

So if there is in fact a problem of conflict of interest it may also be a problem of entrapment, and the attempt to use it as a threat would be called extortion, or entrapment, or some other crime on the part of Berry who had apparently threatened the issue to be exposed in order to stop the press coverage of his own criminal investigation.

The Millers however, announced at the time it was brought to their attention. We have stopped taking adds and the reason, and the matter should be forwarded to the proper authority for resolution. There was no hiding this... it was done on camera during a City Council Meeting. Unlike the Steve Berry infractions.... Jim Miller advised the community of the possible error and the News Paper discontinued running adds.

How many of the actions of the City are based on the "I've got dirt on you, do what I tell you", type of coercion. It is clear that Berry and Schwab use this type of management. One has to wonder what else lies in their "Dirt" file.

If running Legal Ads in the only local news paper which happens to be recently purchased by a Council Members wife is a conflict of interest because City Action benefits a City Official, then what is it when the City Council buys a house for the City Manager out of the RDA Home Stock that was to go to low and middle income people? What is it when a City Car is sold to a newly hired employee without the benefit of proper surplus property disposal procedures, and no trace of the money being received and put into the general fund?
