Demonstration at GT City Hall
April 13th, 5:00 to 7:00
There will be a demonstration by Grand Terrace Citizens prior to the City Council Meeting April 13th 2006. The Citizens Demonstrating HOPE that their demonstration will illustrate their opinions which until now have been disregarded by Council Members, and the City Management.
Not all of the Citizens at the Demonstrations agree with Each other on all topics. However, they do all agree the City Council is not listening to the Citizens.
All of them Agree that Eminent Domain should not be used to force Jo Stringfiled off her property.
Some of them Agree that the City Should not Force Jo Stringfield to develop her Property until she is ready to do so.
All of them are AGAINST a LOWES and other BIG BOX STORES
All of them prefer a Mixed Use Development which is closer to the Specific Plan and General Plan.
All of them may learn the word RECALL and REMOVE FROM OFFICE.
They will begin gathering at 5:oo, bring a picnic the kids, and have a day of civil action.
It is hopped that these Groups, Unite in purpose and organization, write Measures to Vote on in an Election, petition for a Recall of all the Council, and help the city get out of this current management en mass. If there are any amongst the Council that are Not for Eminent Domain, now is the time to say NO. No Eminent Domain for Private Gain, NOW or tomorrow in Grand Terrace. No to Big Box Stores that aren't in compliance with specific design requirements.
