Stater's Will Leave GT?

Remember: Ask Jack Brown:

Well here is One of the Many Plans Jacobsen has been through, 2/3 of them show Stater's On the Stringfield Property.

So Jack? let's be clear, Near, On or Part of the Projcet that uses Eminent Domain to Aquire the Property on which a Stater's Brother Store sits will be associated with that Taking of Property.

Just want to be clear on that point.

It is an interesting piece of logic being offered by Tom Schwab in an effort to sell the public on the Town Center.

His logic goes like this. IF the Town Center Is not Built, Stater Brother's Will leave Grand Terrace.

"As a community, we're at risk of losing our only grocery store," Schwab said.

That logic would work perhaps if Grand Terrace was an Island in the Ocean. Perhaps Mr. Schwab is unaware that there is a Stater Brothers Market at Barton and Washington. Perhaps he has missed the Wall Mart just down the hill on Mt. Vernon? Perhaps he is unaware of the better produce at Cardenas market.

Is Stater Brother's Market a protected business? Would we be inconvenienced if Stater Brothers left town yes.

What is really happening here. Stater Brothers Markets has been moving out of all leased property, and wants to own its stores and the land they are in. This is a good thing. Good business practice. They will use their own construction company to build the new store if they follow their pattern of operations. That is their right.

However, what is a fowl here is the use of the threat of eminent domain used to acquire the property. Jo Stringfield has not yielded to that threat. However, others have not had the desire to stand for their rights and yours as she has.

So Mr. Jack Brown you have already developed a bad reputation in this town. All that land is tainted with the tactics used by the City Redevelopment Agency, Tom Schwab, and Douglas Jacabsen. IF Eminent Domain is actually used on Jo Stringfield that bad taste will become bile. If you build a Stater Brothers on any part of that Development if Jacobsen and the City Use Eminent Domain, YOU have Participated in the Taking.

What is your Mother's Phone Number, there are some folks who would like to call her and let her know what her boy is up to.
