Many of you have emailed that you have seen Sky Rocket Fireworks in the area of Preston and Barton Road. These are Illegal Fireworks even in Grand Terrace. One of these hot fireworks could set a roof or palm tree on fire and given the right wind conditions an entire town could burn.

This is no joke, it isn't patriotic, there should be no pride in the endangerment of your family and community.

IF your Neighbor is lighting off these devices call the Sheriff's Office with their address. Note the Time you called and when the sheriff or fire department arrives. Go the the curb and provide a witness statement to the Sheriff so they have the right to investigate. The conduct is putting you and your other neighbors at risk of death and property damage. THIS IS A CRIME of INTENT. When you light a fire, you know there is risk of Death. When you throw fire in the air as these fireworks do, you intend to let it go and "BE"... and "DO" what fire does... BURN, KILL and DESTROY.

Safe and Sane fireworks usually only hurt you or your direct family, so these are Less Dangerous and could be considered devices of less destruction where as the Sky Rockets/ Bottle Rockets Fireworks are devices of potential mass destruction. The City Council has decided upon taking the risk of the "Safe and Sane Fireworks" BUT, we do not have to Allow the Use of the other type. REPORT and DEMAND ENFORCEMENT.
