Barton Road Development Plan

While our City Council, Manager and Planning Dept. have been diverting our attention with the idea that we are to develop a city village they have rezoned the area by Michigan to be General Commercial. Eventhough they have been asked many times by the citizens of Grand Terrace "why are they looking for such large businesses for our small town", they don't answer. By allowing the citizens of Grand Terrace to speak, they are fulfilling their obligation. But after taking an office to represent the citizens of Grand Terrace' interest, they are no longer interested in the citizens but their own financial gain. Hilkey said it best when he said that the development of our childrens recreational areas is not his responsibility.
