Typical Of City Management:

Today's Email to the City of Grand Terrace, Council, Employees, Staff and City Management has been returned as undeliverable. Is it because they don't want to be alerted as to the concerns of the Citizens of Grand Terrace? Is it because the server is down? Is it because collectively they don't know who to trust any more?

Well folks by now, you know where the Blog is. Our Mailing list will continue to grow... It is just fine not to have this group of folks to email to.. they will no doubt continue to read, and fret as to who Grandpaterrace is, and what will be made public via the net next.

Public Information is Public Folks... Lets work together to keep our freedoms, and force the "government" into the light of day.

Hope you are all having a nice weekend properly keeping your Rental Units Maintained, and Fixing Up your Homes, and trapping Possums. Oh and Remember Monday, Seniors have a Center, Children Have Child Care and Extended Day Care, and Youth have Squat RIGHT HERE IN GRAND TERRACE CITY.

Remember all those who have been abused, maligned and diminished by our City Council, and City Management.

Three Story Senior Center... What are you going to do with Seniors on the Third Floor during a black out or Fire... What about the folks on Brentwood, who will compensate them for the loss of evening breezes, and of course the smell of bengay drifting into their back yards.

Seriously, who will be paying for this Senior Center, and Who Will Guarantee it will not be a disaster either in its construction, or management.??? Have we seen evidence that this City can manage a project like this... NO we cant say that we have seen This City do anything of the sort. Rather we see very much the evidence to the contrary. The City Hall, The Current Senior Center and the Park Construction, all have had contractual compliance problems, and persistent problems with design, construction, and cost.

The City has even given almost everyone the burden of those messy trees they planted in everyone's yard, yet, they have removed them from City Hall. They plant Islands in the middle of a major road with boulders, and palm trees, which are themselves a traffic hazard. They plant a hedge at the corner of Mt. Vernon and Barton Rd which blocks the view of oncoming traffic. NO... Not real confidence builders.

The City has let contracts, and established MOU's without proper public notice. The CRA has bought and sold land without proper practices. Trust them to Build a Senior Center.... NO.... Sorry... Not this Management...

I thought the Town Center project had senior housing in it, what happened to that?

They were counting the current Terrace as part of that "Plan" However, as punishment for not wanting Miguels in front of the Terrace, the New Plan has the Terrace Walled in like Senior Confinement so they will have a long walk to stores, and a wonderful BLOCK wall....
