Oh How Things Change:

In 1988 the Plan was for a Park for the Needs of the Entire Community.
In 2005 the Plan is to Lease the Property for $1.00 per year for 60 years to a developer to build a three story housing unit for exclusively seniors.

This development is inconsistent with the development of parks and open spaces for all. This development discriminates in the provision of services. This development is not congruent with the building codes, and zoning and use of surrounding properties.

This development plan does not include plans or alternative plans to mitigate the deficiencies it brings forth to the community for an extended period of time. The Exclusive Park or Limited Use Park is not congruent with this being a Public Park.

Parks don't make money. Seniors Selling their Homes Makes Money. Even if the Housing Units Break Even in 60 years... the Senior's Homes being sold and resold is a windfall of income for realtors and tax collectors.
